The Kiwanis Club of Mooroopna was organised in 1978
and since that time the club has done vast amounts of
community work, raised money and touched lives of many
people and families in the Shepparton/Mooroopna region
both directly and indirectly. The Club is active in
the community, the main emphasis being Kindergartens and
Schools as well as town beautification projects such as
planting trees, building shelters, BBQ's, etc. Our major
event for the past 30 years is 'Carols in the Park'.
This involves local schools, bands, choirs and other
artists providing free entertainment for the community.
We can help our community without the added costs of
administration.
We need to continually build on this tradition and
accordingly we continue to invite people in the
community to share this experience with us.
Kiwanis welcomes men and women of good standing in
the community. The cost is low, considering the
tremendous satisfaction Kiwanis membership provides.
Being involved in meetings and projects provides a means
to form lasting friendships and to enhance personal
development.
