LC18241006NPSLEEJohnEsqWe announced in our last the death of the Lady of John LEE, Esq.—no woman has departed more respected or more regretted; in her were centered the domestic wife, the fond parent, and disinterested friend. The circumstance of her dissolution is truly awful—in the bloom of youth and beauty she closed her earthly career, by a mortification, as unlooked for as sudden, having been only indisposed a few short hours. The misery in which her beloved husband and parents have been plunged in, is indescribable.

FJ18271128aNPSLEEJohn Fatal Accident — A very distressing accident attended with fatal consequences to two fellow creatures, occurred at an early hour on Saturday evening last, in the immediate vicinity of the High street and the Corn Market. The flooring of a small store belonging to a corn broker named James CORBETT, borne down by excessivepressure, suddenly gave way, bringing with it the heavy joists, and a vast quantity of grain, which buried in the ruins Mary CORBETT, his wife, and Johanna GOLDEN, a servant girl. The alarm was instantly given, and the crash brought a crowd to the spot. When the rubbish was cleared, the mutilated bodies of the two victims were taken up, the heads crushed to a mummy under a large oak beam, and the vital spark totally extinct. John LEE and John CORBETT, two small boys, fortunately escaped the dreadful casulty, having been at the other end of the store, adjoining a fireplace. A very great ??tion was felt in the neighbourhood by the sudden and unforeseen accident. Sunday the Mayor held an inquest on the bodies, and both were interred on Monday, followed by an emense crowd of sorrowing friends — Limerick Chronicle

Cork Const1837304NPSLEEWilliam An Inquest was held at the Bridewell yesterday, before H. E. JONES, Esq., Coroner, on the body of a man named WILLIAM LEE. LEE had for a number of years been sexton at Douglas Church, and was a sober, well-conducted and respectable man. He came into the city on Thursday for the purpose of obtaining money from the City Treasurer towards the repair of a road or other public work in which he was engaged. The money he did not get, and was proceeding home-wards in the evening, when, " meeting a friend"—the never-failing introduction to evil in Ireland—they went into a public house in Barrack-street, and there drank until one, at least, was intoxicated. They then parted, and nothing further was heard of LEE until his body was discovered yesterday morning near the eastern edge of the Loch. The water, where it lay, was not more than two and-a-half feet in depth. so that the unfortunate man probably staggered in and was suffocated. In one of his pockets there was about £20, which he is supposed to have brought from home in the morning. The verdict of the Jury was."Found Drowned." LEE has left a wife and thirteen children.
