PERSONAL PROFILE
Neville began his career in drafting in 1967 and since then has gained a broad range of experience across a number of industries. He is competent Designer in the following disciplines:- Layouts & Conceptual Design, P&ID’s & PEFS, Civil, Mechanical, Structural – Concrete & Steel, Piping, Tankage and has experience with Electrical Schematics & Instrument Loop Diagrams
Since 1981, he has worked for the Western Mining Corporation initially as Senior Design Draftsperson, progressing to CAD Support Officer for Projects and Engineering. During that period Neville was Project Lead Draftsperson for St Ives Gold Plant with a drafting team of 15 in all disciplines and Project Lead Draftsperson for Hill 50 Gold Mine, Checkers Plant with a drafting team of 12 in all disciplines.
As CAD Support Officer, Neville has customized the use of MicroStation to suit WMC Engineering Drafting and established CAD drafting standards in engineering for WMC. He has given MicroStation CAD training and support to Adelaide, Kalgoorlie Nickel Smelter, Kwinana Nickel Refinery, Kambalda, Leinster and Mt Keith personnel and when required provided support and direction to external consultants providing services to Projects and Engineering.
Neville is a competent user of Jacobus Technology’s Viewer and Construction Simulation Packages and has trained engineers and construction planners in its use.
Since leaving Western Mining Corporation he has established his own business providing CAD Support and draughting services. He has also become a user of AutoCAD R14 and can configure and customize AutoCAD menus and lisp and script files.
