Lynn "D" Bears
Is very proud to announce
a store exclusive, "Tatty Angel", designed by the
very talented Deb Canham of Deb Canham Artist Designs.
Tatty is a 3" limited
edition bear made of mohair with a crooked halo and dirty
hands and feet. She has been a bit of a scally wag but promises
to behave in bear hugs.
Please contact Lynn "D"
Bears for any further information.

About Me
Hi everyone, well here goes telling you about myself.
I was born in England and was one of eight children. When
I was four we moved to Perth. I am now married and live in
Rockingham, about 45 kms south of Perth, with my husband and
three daughters, although sometimes I feel more like I am
a mum with three daughters and a son, husbands sure can be
like that sometimes.
I first started off making Porcelain Dolls and
soon found that they weren’t exactly the ideal thing
to cart around with you while attending numerous Basketball
matches and training sessions, just a touch to breakable.
With this in mind, and not being the sort of
person that could keep idle hands, I turned to bears. At first
I only used to make other peoples designs, mainly because
I was so afraid of “Not doing it right”, but one
of my dear friends Jennie Boylan of The Teddy Tree in Osborne
Park suggested it was time to take the plunge. Sure was nerve
wracking the first pattern I designed, but now here I am several
patterns under my belt and I still panic and the thought of
a new design.
I started my shop, which I run from my home,
because I was so fed up with not being able to get any supplies
for my bears. I had just left the bank and I was feeling I
needed to do something. After several months looking into
everything Lynn “D” Bears was born and things
have grown from there.
Now I not only make my bears but I have also
become addicted to quilting and stitcheries.
All of these passions are shared with my granddaughter, Lara,
who was born on 23rd October 2000 and lives permanently with
us.
Lara likes to sit and help, mind you I seem
to pin and re-pin the same part of some bears several times.
I like to call Lara “My Little Helper” and chief
tester for cuddles.
I have also started to write and have had a
few of my stories published in different teddy Bear magazines.
They mustn’t be too bad as I actually got paid for
one of them.
The future
Of Lynn “D” Bears I hope is to continue growing
and maybe one day have a shop front.
I have grown from just a few pieces of mohair to a large selection
and several accessories, i.e. books, Teddy Bear Times Magazines,
Deb Canham Artist Designs (Club Store), Little Gem and recently
I have begun to incorporate Woodcutters Daughters Stitcheries
and Books.
Things do not always grown at the pace we might hope for
but with a strong will and sheer determination we can still
achieve anything we set our minds to.
Ebay and secondary market selling of Deb Canham Artist Designs
is another project that will hopefully come into fruition
in the very near future.
Sometime in August I will be receiving my first Deb Canham
Artist Designs Special that will only be available through
myself.
I would like to be able to do this every couple of years
depending on the response. I am hoping to get more into the
writing side as well as this I find very enjoyable, as I stated
earlier I have had a few stories published and would love
to create a range of children’s’ books.
