Indian Ocean Unit play original music inspired by Asia, Africa and Australia.
Over the past ten years, Lee, Ron and David have played together in various ensembles, particularly with Nova Ensemble but also in a variety of other formats. Thrice blessed with a passion for coffee and chocolate cake, they communicate an equal passion for their music and a deep respect for the cultures they draw upon.
The group's van (the Flying Brick) is filled with a load of exotic instruments, providing this compact trio with a sound unlike any other in Perth today.
