Amanda Dean
Amanda graduated in Percussion Performance from the West Australian Conservatorium of Music with an ADPA in 1986. She was timpanist with the West Australian Arts Orchestra and has freelanced as a percussionist and timpanist since 1982, including regular work with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra. She augmented with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and the Budapest Symphony Orchestra on their visits to Perth, and has played casually with a number of ensembles, including the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, visiting percussionist Evelyn Glennie and the Perth seasons of Les Miserables, The King and I, 42nd Street, and South Pacific. Amanda is one of the founding members of the Nova Ensemble.
