Board Games.
A genre of the gaming industry that is, unfortunately,
quite quickly dying out. With the advent of so much computer technology,
these games are quickly becoming a thing of the past. There are, however,
some classics which have stood the test of time over and over again. Three
of these games (which just happen to be my favorites) are "Risk,"
"Monopoly" and "Hero Quest."
Risk is all about word domination. You
get to build up armies and then crush other countries! I have a group of
friends who all like to play and we spend days just playing this one game!
It's great fun and all about strategy! There are some really dumb ones
- like Madagascar is the key to the world - and then there are some good
ones. I have only won once so I'm afraid I don't know many of those! It's
cool fun but it's and old game. I don't know if it's even in print anymore.
If you know anything more about how available it is (Not the computer version...
it's nothing like as good) then please tell me.
Everyone knows Monopoly, and
you're all probably wondering why I like it so much... Well I won my first
ever game more than a year ago and the novelty hasn't worn off yet! I think
that the key to London is definitely Mayfair and Park Lane! Not all that
much else matters, but those two definitely do! (for me anyway)
And then there's Hero Quest... The game
with the biggest box ever. It's a great game and I liked it before I liked
RPG. I have a feeling that now I do, Hero Quest will die pretty
quickly! It's still a good game, even if someone did walk all over my pieces
and break most of them!
