Titanic.
The film of the biggest naval disaster in all
of history. This film was so accurate, that everything from to the wine that they
had on the original vessel, down to the makers of the window and door
ornaments were the same. Everything that was made on the ship was faithfully recreated
on the set. Although many people regard the film as being all about the
sinking of the Titanic, it is supposed to be more of a love story
and once again, Leonardo di Caprio is there to be the lover. Now just because
two of my all time favorite films star the guy, don't think for a minute
that has any significance. I promise that it's all complete coincidence.
Once again, I'll try to provide some interesting
facts about the film that people might not know. Did you know that the
woman that played the older version of Rose was the real person? She starred
as herself. Incredible, isn't it, that the very person that went through
all of that horror managed to re-live so much of it for a film's sake?
Also, they made a huge mistake in the writing of the script - the lake
that Leonardo di Caprio's character was supposed to have come from didn't
actually exist at the time that he was supposed to be alive! Imagine having
such a historically accurate film - everything from the same makers of
the iron workings, crockery, cutlery and wine - and then blowing one of
the key script elements by making the main character come from a place
that didn't exist. Bummer.
