Swimming.

Ahh yes. The only sport that just about every Australian has some idea of how to participate. I love to swim, especially in the hot summer months that almost plague this country non stop. Infact, my love for swimming has taken great hights. I completed my life saving course last year through the Australian Royal Life Saving Society. I completed my "Bronze Medallion" which is a life saving qualification and I used this level to get my current job - a lifeguard at the local pool!

Swimming is huge here in Australia, especially Perth. This is shown by the fact that the international swimming championships were just recently held here. (You know the ones where the Chinese swimmers were found to have growth hormones in their luggage). It is always great to see local (well national) talent to do so well. Take Micheal Klim for instance. Kirren Perkins does ads for milk over here but I think he'll soon be replaced by Klim. After all, Klim spelt backwards is milK! Although it turns out that Klim's first appearences on the commercial scene have been for Nintendo, not milk!
