Similar in vein to the character concepts I wanted to detail the areas that the different races came from and the different subraces each race will have. The below is what I came up with.

Elves – forests
Dwarves – mountains/underground
Humans – plains/cities
Litorians – plains
Sibeccai – deserts
Halflings – wetlands
Gnomes – hills/forested bumps
Dracha – mountains
Faen – forests
Hu-Charad – coastal

Subraces

Elves

            Eldar (non-playable)
            Gold (playable, haughty, arcane, knowledge, cities in mountainous forests)
            Silver (playable, friendly, most contact with outsiders, all forests)
            Wild (playable, reclusive, deep forests, at one with nature)
            Aquatic (non-playable)
            Drow (non-playable)

Dwarves

            Dwarverold (non-playable)
            Underground (playable, mine gems and minerals)
            Overground (playable, mine stone)
            Dark Dwarves (non-playable)

Humans

           Forenir (non-playable, long lived humans with greater powers)
           Geographic (playable, different regions – looks, temperament)
           Hoveril (non-playable, winged humans)
           Shamshar (non-playable, evil humans underground)

Halflings

            Waterfolk (playable, feel best on water, some aquatic abilities)
            Hairfoot (playable, live beside water areas esp rivers, marshes)
            Stout (playable, live in hills not far from water)
            Horndrek (non-playable, evil halflings underground)

Faen
