THE TEAM

Owen Ogince
ACA B.ACC

Age 46 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1976 - specialist retail management accountant
Owen joined a retail discount chain of 30 stores and became joint managing director. He also owned a retail business for 7 years and was subsequently recruited to the Charlie Carters organisation.
In 1988 he joined the Ezy Plus food store group where he set up the first franchise, including the initial systems and training, following up this with further successful franchises.
Since then, Owen has specialised in retail management, systems, computers and marketing of a number of supermarkets, other retail outlets as well as a stationery business.

Barry Stark
B.A. LL.B.

40 years old - qualified as a lawyer in 1980. Admitted as a solicitor in Western Australia in 1988. Barry worked for one of Western Australia's largest legal firms from 1986 to 1991, when he opened his own practice, which he still conducts in Balcatta.
Barry practises mainly in the areas of small business law, commercial law, mining and resources law and has extensive experience in franchising, having advised both franchisors and franchisees on all aspects of franchising.
Franchise systems where Barry has been actively involved in giving advice include real estate franchises, book shops, gardening rounds, food franchises and retail outlet franchises.
