Noosa Blue Resort, Noosa, Australia
When you think Noosa, you think “pricey”. But not everything in town has an expensive price tag. The beach is free, of course, and the nearby Noosa National Park has some great scenic walking trails and the chance to spot koalas high within the trees. Set 500 metres back from classy Hastings Street and the main beach at Noosa Heads, it gives easy access to Noosa’s natural attractions at a less expensive rate than beachfront properties. My room has a tropical holiday hideaway feel, with off-white tiles throughout, and an external shuttered sun room. Outside is a leafy view comprised of sub-tropical foliage. Within the bedroom area is a large spa bath, with its own shutters for letting in external light. The bathroom and kitchens are tiny, but both practical. The washing machine is a useful element for longer stays. Noosa Blue’s decor does look a bit dated, and it doesn’t offer many in-house services beyond its pleasant swimming pool, and breakfast and lunch service. However, its staff are friendly and it’s in the right spot to enable shopping, dining and seaside fun. Just the Facts: Noosa Blue Resort
