After reading an
entry about the
role of editing in writing that I'd posted on my Livejournal site, John
Richards asked me to expand on it for his arts and culture blog, The
Outland Institute. Read
my essay here, and then go one to read the rest of John's
fascinating,
entertaining and well-written blog. |

The
Outland Institute is now a radio show! It's on from 12-2pm every
Friday. I'm the book gal for the show, so either stream it online, or download the podcast
at a time more convenient to you!
February 2009, Boxcutters TV podcast, episode
167 - discuss tv vampires in general, and then the first
three
episodes of the new British series, Demons.
A podcast is also now available of the panel
discussion I took part in at the Vampires, Vamps and Va Va Voom
symposium in 2008. |

I wrote a piece
called "Three Cheers
for Redemption" for Dymock's July 2008
HEART
newsletter, for lovers of paranormal romance. If you would like to
join HEART, email
Louise McNally to be added to the mailing list.

The Pulp Fiction
Press website has
a bunch
of extras - the first six chapters of the book if you want to 'try
before
you buy', as well as some great wallpaper for your computer and your
mobile
phone. |

Andrew Cullen's site features "Forever
Cast",
the song that appears in the book. Alternatively, you can find him on his
MySpace page. |

Mary Borsellino, a
great writer (go and buy The Wolf House!),
wrote a short fanfic, with Gary Hooper (my daggy vampire) and Patrick
Stump,
lead singer of Fall Out Boy, in his persona of vampire hunter from the
band's film clip for "A Little Less Sixteen Candles, A Little More
Touch
Me". I loved "The
Opposite of Chicago". I hope you enjoy it too. |

Another
Livejournaler, Audrey Fox,
did some fan
art of Gary too. I love how she's captured his
clueless-and-worried-about-it
expression. Audrey also recently drew this
scene from the new novel, because it amused me. |
