Within the Fire & Rescue Service of Western Australia the Light Tanker serves as a fast attack vehicle, capable of negotiating most situations likely to be encountered in both metropolitan and country driving applications. The Light Tanker is a versatile appliance, having the capability of being used at incidents such as wildfires, structural fires, flammable liquid fires and for transferring foam concentrate. The light tanker above has recently been replaced with a new and much improved version. These new light tankers have the same capabilities of the older version, but with improvements including a slightly larger cab space, low water warning devices and generally safer and easier operation.
