| BIO: | Formed in late 2002, Alpha State has
emerged a passionate new player in the Australia heavy music scene
gaining recognition for its 'follow your heart' approach. Scorning
false notions of "cool", the band's potent live show showcasing
musical proficiency and exciting performances, has secured the band
a solid underground following. Alpha State's first EP 'Breath Away' which was self funded and recorded has sold out its first pressing. Gigging relentlessly since mid 2003, the band's ability to meld meld heavy guitars, rolling rhythm with strong female vocals and pop sensibility, has seen the band gain fans across all heavy music genres. 2004 saw Alpha State receive a musical endorsement from Mesa Boogie Amplifier Technology, and Arts/Vic grant for the production of a new EP, and a coveted clothing sponsorship from cult underground street wear Emily The Strange for vocalist M.
