John HEARNE/HEARN/HERN was a gypsy tinker born Leicestershire. On 19 March 1807 at Leicestershire he was charged with three others for stealing a pig. One of these persons was a Sarah Hearn. The other three persons were acquitted and John was sentenced to seven years transportation. He and Mary Flanigan, convict, who arrived "Francis & Eliza" lived at Parramatta/Seven Hills until he was given a land grant at Webb's Creek near Wiseman's Ferry where he farmed. John died at MacDonald River in 1860. They were my ggg-grandparents.
