Samson House Photos

The room in this photo was originally (1889) a drawing room, but is now a bedroom.

This photo shows the opposite end of the above bedroom photo.

As is shown in this picture, the dining area of the kitchen involves intricitely designed crockery.

This photo shows the cooking area of the kitchen.

Perhaps the grandest room of the house, the dining room (since 1898) is situated at the back of the house, and was used heavily in the entertainment and hosting of important guests.

At the time of Sir Frederick Samson, walking sticks were given as gifts of honour. This photo shows the Samson Family's collection of sticks - including the black elephant-headed stick (left of the photo) given to Sir Frederick by Haile Selassie, the last Emporer of Ethiopia.
