Genevieve's Persona Stuff

The first thing I did was develop a name, for some this might mean some research into period forms and langauge, for me it was a process of picking a first name I had always liked the sound of and then adding on something interesting, and in this case French,.which is how I became Genevieve du Mont Fleur.

Next I sat down with a friend and created a fictional story which dovetailed the mundane period I was absent from the Society into a persona tale which reflected my family circumstances and sounded somewhat interesting, this bit is in no way required but is a lot of fun : )

Eventually I determined that I too would have a unique banner and name, partly due to an Award of Arms (Oh my, I am a Lady now!) and partly due to seeking additional artisitic and creative oppurtunities. To this end  I am submitting a Name and Device to the College of Heralds. This process is decidely more complicated than making something up so I enlisted the aid of a friendly Herald to assist with all those complicated bits.

Research into my chosen name has yielded Genevieve du Montfleur as the more appropriate style and my proposed device has developed into this.
