EVENT BACKGROUND
The Autumn Gathering is the brainchild of a group of like minded individuals, who see the need for a non group specific camping event where all scadians and their friends on the western shores/coast/lands of our Kingdom of Lochac could come together, have some fun and perhaps build something bigger than the sum of it's parts.

The Gathering will not belong to any one group, and as an event it may be sponsored and it and it's activities run by any of the SCA groups here in Western Australia, it is hoped that all groups will participate and work together to achieve this goal. We are currently investigating an event specific bank account so that all funds raised can be utilised to enhance and improve the experience of the event.

The concept of the various Championships is to promote participation without adding any burden of duties or associations other than honouring your consort and the opportunity to gain renown, however it is understood that certain bragging rights will be available to the winners of each list.

As a event the Gathering is somewhat of an experiment, and only time and attendance will tell if enough people support the idea of a more holistic approach to the activities of the SCA in Western Australia. The Gathering may develop into something else or it may just be the first step in moving towards something else, in any case attend, enjoy and have some medieval fun.
