Sweetly I MellowedAround four years ago
This writing began
Words tumbling out
With no specific planEmotions spilling forth
Teardrops to flow
At times analyzing
Which parts to showAt first pen to paper
Then onto a screen
Examined by detail
Are parts of me seenWith a fluency to flow
Emotions exposing
Sometimes unable
I hesitate supposingAttempting and trying
With heart into text
I’m nothing unique
Pondering what nextAnother poetry page
Old ones yellowed
Wisdom with aging
Sweetly I mellowed

The Paper Was Plain We write what we view
Although paper is plain
The palettes are worldly
Our emotions the sameThe length and breadth
The vastness of oceans
We can all see the blue
When flowing emotionsHaving this plain paper
It always gives reasons
Kaleidescope viewing
The colours of seasonsCommencing each day
With emotion one feels
Heart and soul moving
We are constant wheelsWith this pen as escort
I’m given no rehearsal
A heart viewing insight
Will become universalThe all weather poetry
Journeys lifes highway
I have no magic touch
Heart writes each day
