Teenagers

They want all of your sympathy
When they get hurt outside
They want to visit
with their friends
And always ask for rides

They go through
teenage problems
We have been there before
They buy CD'S and videos
And always ask for more

They always think
they know so much
We tell them we’ve been
there before
They want tattoos
and earrings
And put colour in there hair

One day they will grow up
No squabbles in the house
Till then I’ll sit and wait
And click away my mouse

They Grow Up

You raise them up
with love and hope
When young
they are amusing
Then they grow up
to be adult
They then turn
around abusing

They then just listen
to their friends
They think they really
know it all
I now get no respect
Its like talking to a wall

We try to give them
good advice
What we say
is now resented
I have tried to turn
the other cheek
Or I would end up
quite demented
