INNER-PEACE

By following the simple advice I read in an article I have found inner peace.

It reads "The way to achieve inner peace is to finish all the things you've started."

So today I finished one bottle of white wine, a bottle of red wine, a bottle of scotch, my Prozac, a large box of chocolates and a mud cake.

You have no idea how good I feel.

GLITTER TUTORIAL

GLITTER NAME

You'll need this glitter or one of your own. Right click and save to your own computer:

Open Paint Shop.
Open file red-04.gif (red glitter) and leave it open somewhere on the screen.
We aren't going to worry about the animation or frames yet.

File - New - 400x400 pixels Transparent background
Text tool - click on image you just made and choose a font you like. I used Black Chancery.

Font size 72.
Create as: Floating
Antialias should be ticked
Standard text (Background color only). Fill color can be anything.

Because I have psp7 it might look a bit different from yours but this is a screen shot of my settings:

Put the text on the image you made.
Use the mover tool to get it where you want.
Selections - Select none. This is to get rid of the marching ants around your text.

Use the crop tool to remove the space around your name so you are left with just your name on a transparent background.
Now press SHIFT plus D on your keyboard - you will get a duplicate of your image - Do it again so you have three images of your name.

Now you need to change your color to pattern. In the pattern choices red-04.gif should be one of the top choices - because it is open it will list it. Click to select it as the pattern to use - IMPORTANT: Set the scale:100 and Angle:0. OK
Get flood fill tool and click on each letter in one image of your name to fill it with pattern. Save as Image1.psp

Go to second image of name. Click on pattern again IMPORTANT before filling change setting to Angle:200. (scale is fine)
This changes where the sparkles are in the animation. Click ok and fill each letter in 2nd image with glitter.
Save as Image2.psp

Click on third name. IMPORTANT Change pattern angle again to 350 before filling each letter. Do NOT alter the scale
Save as Image3.psp

Now we are ready to animate:
File - Jasc software products - launch animation shop.
Click the animation wizard - File - animation wizard
Setting should be selected as:
Same size as first image frame NEXT
Transparent NEXT
Upper left corner of the frame and with the preceding frames contents NEXT
Yes repeat animation indefinitely and Frame display 10    NEXT

Add image
Image1.psp Image2.psp Image3.psp - Open. Once you have added all three files click NEXT
Finish
Your name should now sparkle.

File - Save as - choose a folder and give it a name. eg: Sue.gif   Save.
The settings that appear should be fine but just check it is set for Better Image Quality  NEXT
NEXT again
You'll see two windows if you are happy with the optimized results click NEXT  FINISH

There you have it. Your own sparkle name **Fingers Crossed**

From this basic concept you can add shapes - stars, circles etc to your name or add a dingbat font for variety. I used a Teddy bear dingbat font for this one. If you do a search online you should find free dingbats to use.

Add whatever you want to your name BEFORE making the duplicate images. Then fill - click the fill bucket on the areas you want colored. Finish the tutorial the same way as before.

This tutorial is my own creation and any similarity to other glitter tutorials is coincidental.
