Herbed Chicken

1 Chicken
75 grammes (3 oz) butter
1 clove garlic, chopped
½ teaspoons freshly ground pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon freshly chopped herbs

Wipe the chicken with a paper towel.
Mix together the butter, garlic, pepper, salt and herbs

Place half the mixture in the chicken cavity
Rub the remailing mixture over the chicken and put it in an ovenproof pot with a fitting lid.

Roast in the oven at 200ºC (400ºF) for 1½ hours
