MACAROON CAKE

½ lb butter
¾ cup sugar
1¼ cups self-raising flour
2 egg yokes
½ cup milk
vanilla

Cream butter and sugar.
Add egg yokes, milk and flour.
Spread in cake tin

Topping

2 egg whites
½ cup sugar
1 cup coconut

make a meringue with sugar and egg whites.
Add coconut

Spread topping on the cake mix.

Cook in a moderate oven for 30 - 45 minutes
