TOLL HOUSE COOKIES

2¼ cups plain flour
1 teaspoon bicarb soda
pinch salt
250 g. softened butter or margarine
½ cup castor sugar
½ cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
2 eggs
100 - 200 g. Chocbits
1 cup chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 190ºC
Grease baking trays (or use non-stick baking paper)
Sift first three ingredients and set aside.
Cream butter, sugar and vanilla until creamy
Gradually beat in eggs and sifted dry ingredients
Fold in Chocbits and nuts.

Drop teaspoonsfull onto the baking trays

Bake for 10 - 15 minutes.

Cool on trays.
