CREAMY RICE PUDDING

½ cup uncooked pudding rice
½ cup sugar
½ teaspoons salt
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
¼ teaspoon cinnamon
2 pints milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 oz butter

Combine rice, sugar, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon in a well-buttered oven-proof casserole.
Stir in milk and vanilla.
Dot top of pudding with butter.

Bake in a very slow oven, stirring often, for about 2 hours or until the rice is tender.
