The Adept's Way describes a method to roll four tests per arrow produced.
We decided that this was very annoying, and made it just one test to
produce the arrow.
If the character spends a whole day making arrows, then he can make
attempts equal to his half-magic step. If he spends a few hours round the
campfire making arrows while the group travels, or similar activity, then
he can make attempts equal to his half-magic rank. Note that if he does
not have access to equipment required to make metal or stone heads then he
will be forced to simply sharpen the wooden tip, which gives -1 damage.
According to the optional rule about weapons damage, weapons suffer one
point of damage when the attacker rolls a fumble. We feel free to ignore
this sometimes, particularly if the attacker had a really low step to start
with (Defensive stance while taunted, anybody?).
