House Rules: By Famine
These rules were bought about by the need for the GM to be able to predict what the weather conditions would be like the next day.
Most rolls require a d% (d100)

Travelling Modifications due the Weather Conditions
|
None, Light & Medium Winds
Characters rate of travel is as normal
Strong
Characters may travel up to 2/3 of the normal distance in a single day.
Gale
Characters may travel up to 1/2 the normal distance in a single day. In addition, while travelling they take +1 step strain every hour that they are exposed (this is cumulative). E.g. Gomez the Stupid Troll decides he will continue. In the first hour he takes 1 step strain, the second 2 steps, the third 3 ...
Storm
While travelling through a storm characters take +1 step strain for every 2 hours exposed, like that of a gale the strain step is cumulative as time passes.
Blizzard
While travelling characters take +2 steps strain (cumulative) for every hour exposed.
When travelling, strain due to weather conditions is cumulative. e.g. In an extreme case Gomez the (extremely) stupid Troll is pushing through a blizzard, and to make matters worse there is a gale. His cumulative damage is as follows.
| Time spent travelling
| Strain taken
|
| 1 hour
| step 3 (1 from gale, 2 from blizzard)
|
| 2 hour
| step 6 (2 from gale, 4 from blizzard)
|
| 3 hour
| step 9 (3 from gale, 6 from blizzard)
