This helmet once belonged to Vati Naral, the leader of Elenvale (see Sword of Vision for information about this citadel) during The Scourge. He was the last man standing after all the citadel's inhabitants died, and the Black Deciever transformed him into a bone-shambler (see Terror in the Skies). The helm is bluish-black in appearance, and resembles a large eggshell cut symmetrically in half. It in fact fits any head, once a thread is woven to it (even a windling's).

Effect: The helm adds +1 to the wearer's Physical Defense.

Key Knowledge: The wearer must learn who was the last person to wear the helm (VATI NARAL).
Effect: The helm gives off an area of dim bluish light to a radius of Rank yards. All friendly characters in the area gain +1 Mystic Armor bonus.

Key Knowledge: The wearer must learn the Name of the wizard who made this helmet. (AGUR-ALA)
Effect: +2 Mystic Armor to all friendly characters in area.

Deed: The helmet is made from a single scale of a dragon. The wearer must learn what the wizard gave the dragon in return for this scale, and give that dragon the same amount in precious jewels as a tithe for using the helm. This deed is worth 2,100 legend points.
Effect: Expending 5 points of Strain allows the light to increase to that of a Light spell in brightness. The wielder then makes a Spellcasting/PER test vs. the highest spell defense of any enemy in the area of effect. If successful, any enemy in the area takes Step 4 damage each round, the undead taking Step 5, horror constructs Step 7 and horrors Step 9 damage. Mystic Armor reduces this damage. This effect last for Rank rounds per use.
