Commentary
Giant hairy spiders are about 5 feet across. They do not spin webs, but
hunt prey by pouncing on it when it comes into range.
If the spider causes a Wound with it's bite, the target is injected with
poison. The spider rols spellcasting vs. TSD. If successful, the target
receives step 3 damage in that round, step 4 the next, etc. Mystic armour
protects against this damage. If the target gets a Wound from the poison,
he must make a knockdown test using willpower instead of strength,
otherwise he will go mad from pain until the poison stops doing damage.
If the poison is not neutralized in some way, then it continues doing
damage to the victim. Each round the victim may make a Willpower test
vs the damage step that round to prevent the poison having effect that
round. If the victim makes three such successful Willpower test in a row,
then the poison is neutralized.
The loot is the number of victims that the spider has killed, which may
or may not have any equipment and valuables left on them.
