Mitchell Lookout Walk
The Mitchell Lookout is located in the Budawang Ranges, Morton National Park north of
Braidwood, New South Wales. Drive along the Braidwood-Nowra Road until you get to a plateau area called Sassafras. Turn right through the gate. There is a radio antenna on the corner. Drive south along a rough track for 3.5 kms to a locked gate at the Park entrance. The 9.5 Km walk to the Mitchell Lookout starts here. The first 5.5 km are easy going along a firetrail before you turn left into scrub at an area called Newhaven Gap and walk along a trail for 4 km. You are rewarded with wonderful views such as the one in the photo.
