About Us.....
QUINNS ROCKS FISHING CLUB
The Quinns Rocks Fishing Club Inc, has a proud record of 20 years involvement with the local community.
Our Club is a friendly, family orientated environment to meet new people and make new friends.
We meet every Friday at Gumblossom Community Hall, Tapping Way, Quinns Rocks between
5.30pm and 9pm.
The Club organises monthly social events including barbeques, quiz nights, family days and dinner dances but above all is a perfect place for local people to meet and get to know each other.
In order to continue our strong ethos of "Fish for the Future" we ensure our members and their families support, understand and actively promote this.
Our monthly fishing competition are attended by members and visitors alike and we award prizes in men's, ladies and children's divisions.
Our competitions are species based with only one fish of each species being weighed in by each angler. By targeting species rather than quantities of individual species we encourage fishing for the future and a number of different fishing styles.
Our competitions are great days out and the perfect opportunity to explore the offshore reefs and further afield for those more experienced seafolk!
In addition to our own competitions Quinns Rocks Fishing Club has proudly entered successful teams in the WA State Boating Championships for many years.
Being a boat owner is not mandatory, shore based anglers are always welcome to participate in all our competitions.
The Club believes that safety on the water is paramount and holds safety seminars as well as group sittings of the all important Skippers Ticket.
Our clubrooms are licensed and stock a good range of beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks. We cater for most tastes. The bar is run by our Committee members who organise all events as well as the AGM, Christmas, Easter and Annual Trophy nights.
We also run "long week-end" trips to locations like Port Gregory, Nanga Station and the Abrolhos Islands, our members go along and enjoy fishing in pristine waters and some of the best scenery in Western Australia, topped off with a good dose of great company.
If you want to find out more come down and see us on Friday night, you will be glad you did!
