How old are your cats in human years? Animal health journals and vets agree comparing cat years to human years uses a subjective formula. The cats aging process is similar to our human aging process. However sources say the aging process differs between humans and cats especially towards the end of a cat's life. This may be because the aging process is not linear. For example, a cat ages 13 human years in its first 6 months, 8 human years in the second six months, 10 human years in the second 12 months, and approximately 3 cat years for each subsequent human year.
