JOHN ELDRIDGE 1780-????


John Eldridge was shown as a widower on his 23 Feb 1818 marriage to Charlotte Holding, a spinster, at Christ Church Southwark, Surrey, England.

A John and Emma were both baptised at St Mary Lambeth, Surrey with parents shown as John and Charlotte Eldridge. The 21 Oct 1821 baptism shows John as a bricklayer of Lambeth Walk and the 15 Jan 1826 baptism of Emma shows John as a plasterer of Bond Street.

The 1841 census for Bond St, Vauxhall, Lambeth, Surrey shows a John Eldridge age 60 not born Surrey and a John Eldridge age 20 born Surrey in the same household and both are recorded as bricklayers.

The 1851 census for St George the Martyr, Finsbury shows a widow Charlotte Eldridge age 67 with her daughter Emma Low in the household of Charlotte's widowed sister.
