Thomas Eldridge married Margery Aspinall at St Clement Danes, Middlesex, England on 28 Apr 1726 and he was shown as a bachelor of that Parish. Thomas Eldridge married Alice Cater at St Ann Soho, Middlesex on 29 Oct 1742. The children of Thomas and Margery (shown as Mary in the case of Elizabeth) and Thomas and Alice were all baptised at St Clement Danes.
The 1767 will of a Thomas Eldridge, a butcher of St Clement Danes, mentions his daughter Margaret Dewes wife of John Dewes, daughter Sarah Eldridge a spinster, daughters Ann and Alice who have yet reach the age of 21, son William Eldridge a butcher and daughter Elizabeth Eldridge a spinster. This will, together with the 1797 will of Yeeling Charlwood, who married Sarah Eldridge after the death of Thomas, which mentions in part his wife Sarah's niece Margaret Dewes and her nephew Henry Underwood, leads to the conclusion that the Thomas in the 1726 and 1742 marriages is the same person.
