The train arrived fourty minutes early. We all missed being able to photograph the trains arrival. The train was the celebrity that morning, not as Great Southern Railway thought the celebrities riding it.

Both National Rail's indigenous colour scheme NR class NR30 and NR52 hauled the train from Sydney to Perth. A double headed Indian Pacific is a rare sight in Perth. The Locomotives were spotting the motor car wagons in the unloading bay at East Perth Terminal.
