Reactive Spaces Reactive Spaces

Whenever I look at a designer's site, I end up wondering what the person behind it thinks and reads. My blog is called 'Clever by Nature', the name was inspired by my interest in things like biomimetics. The natural environment has a lot to teach us in terms of design. We should always look carefully at the world around us to inform the design process, especially with regard to issues like sustainability.

A blog is a great place to record thought processes and express ideas. My favourite blog is blackbeltjones - it's a constant source of inspiration and a great record of a Nokia usability designer's preoccupations.

I've used my own blog to publish extracts of my sketch books. There's a 15 part outline for a book entitled 'Observa' (aka The 33 Project). My most recent work is 'Reactive Spaces', a concept that I'm developing with the kind assistance of Pip Jones from Deepend Sydney.
