Aaahhh, Uh!

Original words by Ron Clarke, Swan Canoe Club member and double surf ski paddler extraordinaire. He sang the original ditty at the start of the Avon Descent, 1997. This version (modified by Robyn Khorshid) is to be sung by Penny Bates at the Avon Descent, 1998, and is dedicated to all Mixed K2 teams.

Hey, girls, you'd better listen to me every one of you!

We gotta lotta, lotta paddlin' to do,

Forget about the red wine and the armchair,

Today you're paddlin' with the man.

Aah, aah, aah, aah, aah, uh .....

Aah, aah, aah, uh ....

Well, pick up your pace

We gotta win this race (he'll say)

I wanna see you make it this time!

Aah, don't relax,

I want arms and backs

I want everyone to see us from behind.

'Cos you're paddlin' with the man, paddlin' with the man.

You gotta give him a hand

If you paddle with the man

I know you'll help if you can,

When you paddle with the man.
