Much of Albany coastline consists
of soaring and smooth granite cliffs which plunge straight into
the sea. |

Occasionally there are jagged
and eroded limestone strata. |

Note the rounded granite boulders
on the bottom left of the cliff, with the limestone overlaying. |

The view in the other direction
is towards Seal Island and the Vancouver Peninsula. |

Approaching Limestone Head |

The limestone erodes into interesting
features such as small caves and this undercut cliff.

At the base of Isthmus Hill
|

A climb to the top of Isthmus
Hill gives a rewarding view towards Bald Head, with a long wave
cut platform and big surf at the base of the limestone - not
for landing! |

The other direction from Isthmus
Hill: view towards Salmon Holes |
