Rodney Coogan's arrangements with the farmer/owner, Septmeber, 2009
The take-out point is river right of the submerged causeway. Look for a faded red pole about middle of the river.
1 No vehicles to enter farm property;
2 Vehicles must be left on Newman Road outside the farm entrance;
3 Vehicles must not block the farm entrance whatsoever. A mulberry tree is nearby for shade.
4 Boats will need to be carefully passed over locked gates.
This about halves the paddle out distance to 3km and the portage distance to 280m.
