Beach Riot
at Cottesloe
Playboaters, sea kayakers and other potential plastic toy collectors
should be warned that on Sunday, 15th Feb there will be a Riot
kayaks demo day between 10.00 am and 2.00 pm at Dutch Inn ( Beach
St Cottesloe).
There will be five different play boat designs to try including
the new "Turbo" (two sizes) as well as the new Riot
"Excursion" sea kayak. Have fun while learning about
the latest trends in kayak design. For more details contact Tom

Paddle for the weekend, 6th & 7th March, at Bunbury and meet
our country cousins.
Social paddle on the Collie River, Australind, on Saturday,
late afternoon, followed by a barbecue at Eaton foreshore. Sunday
morning is the Bridge to Bridge Race - 14km with a short
course as well - 6.5km.

River Canoe Club - New Event: Time Trials
A friendly and enthusiastic group of paddlers has been meeting
for the last two weeks for the Thursday evening time trial, starting
6pm - all are welcome, including juniors. It's a four lap course,
about 35-45 minutes, and there will be a barbecue afterwards
- barbecue packs will be available, BYO beer. Soft drinks for
participants are being provided, compliments of Perth Kayak Centre.

Middleton Beach Challenge
- Saturday, 24th April, 8am
Race from Middleton Beach to Green Island & return (approx
12KM). Open to surf ski, ocean kayak & sit on top craft,
a flotation device MUST be worn or carried. Medals presented
at Morning Tea 10 AM at the Surf Lifesaving Club.
Cost $20 entry fee to the Masters Games + $5 race entry
Casual Ocean Paddle - Pub to Perth, Monday, 26th April, 8am
Join Ralph at the Esplanade Hotel, Middleton Beach, Albany, for
a paddle to HMAS Perth (dive wreck) returning via Whaleworld
for morning tea in the café. (approx 20 Km). Open to surf
skis, ocean kayaks & sit on craft, flotation device must
be worn or carried.
