20/12/01 From Me . . .
ave a Happy Christmas & Merry New Year all!
Paddling in Mandurah
If you're unfamiliar with paddling in the Mandurah area (there's heaps of places to explore) I have new pages on my website - 'Where to paddle in Mandurah' - underway. They're being being sponsored by Mandurah Sportz which sells canoes & gear (amongst other things). You can <http://www.iinet.net.au/~rokhor/canoe/mandhire.html>hire a canoe, ski or sit-on-top right on the waterfront at Mandurah.
From Avon Descent Co-ordinator, Deanne Jones
Suggestions for the Avon Descent - Should the location of the campsite be changed? Should the race be held on Friday & Saturday? A brief questionnaire with these two questions was sent out in a recent email from the Avon Descent Committee but not everyone received the email - if you didn't and wish to know more you can check out the details in full on "Local Paddlers' Page" at : http://www.iinet.net.au/~rokhor/canoe/locpad.html

Please send your replies (the more, the better) to Deanne :- <mailto:avondescent@wn.com.au>avondescent@wn.com.au
Update from Colin Thorpe, Co-ordinator, Perth's Whitewater Park
Again, for those who may not have received this news by email from Colin already here is the update as to the Whitewater Park: http://www.iinet.net.au/~rokhor/canoe/locpad.html
From Peter Carter, Webmaster, AKC
