Entrance to the
rapid is either right or left of these ti-trees at the top, but
close to them, as you have to return to centre of flow immediately
below them.
Below the ti-trees
return to the middle of the main flow to avoid rocks and turbulence
or low water on the sides. Then go left or right to avoid the
'rock in the middle at the bottom' . Note the large eddy on river
left at bottom of rapid.

In medium water the rock has a pourover and big hole on the downstream
side which will most likely cause capsize if encountered.
