About the Author: Dave Boldy

• keen paddler in various types of craft, tries to race but generally doesn't
  keep up!
  
• completed 7 Avon Descents in double kayak, single kayak and triple ski, and
  1 Hawkesbury Canoe Classic in his old fibreglass Arro.
  
• currently owns and paddles an old fibreglass Arro, a Zephyr K2, an old Anas
  Acuta sea kayak and a new pride-and-joy Mirage Double Sea Kayak.
  
• works as Camping Coordinator for Scripture Union of WA, in which capacity he is involved in white water kayaking, rafting, and extended expeditions in open canoes.
  
• married to Philippa, who tolerates a yard full of boats and a house full of
  smelly paddling gear. She enjoys a quiet paddle around occasionally.
  
• lives in Brentwood and is seen most days out on the Canning River
  somewhere.
  
• enjoys talking about paddling with a beer in his hand almost as much as
  actually doing it!
