Pinjarra to Ravenswood

This is a popular flat water paddle. River meanders through marri and red gums with abundant birdlife - narrow to start off with and occasional small sandy beaches. About half way the river widens and you will soon come across houses lining the banks and more river traffic, including houseboats, as Ravenswood is approached.
River Access
1 boat ramp at end of Henry Street, Pinjarra2 end of Wilson Road, 1km further downstream
3 - Redcliffe Barn (cafe) another 1 km downstream - jetty access, otherwise bank is muddy.
4 George Brook Reserve - river is 50 metres from cul-de-sac along track. River access is via earth steps cut into steep bank. Picnic tables and shade.

7 Ravenswood - just under bridge, river left, small sandy beach
Check the river level at Pinjarra
- Put-in at Henry Street boat ramp. Picnic tables, car park Historic precinct & tea rooms nearby. Pinjarra pub is just upstream of bridge.
- River is tidal (just) up to the weir at Pinjarra, upstream of the bridge.
- No facilities at Wilson Road - roadside parking only
- Redcliffe Barn - attractive cafe, restaurant, mini-golf, birdpark, children's playground, toilets. Shaded grounds. Suspension bridge to river where access is via a jetty. Open for breakfasts summer weekends, from 8:30am, otherwise 9am - 5pm every day. Paddlers are welcome.
- Dandalup River enters on river right - paddleable for a short distance, depending on winter rains
- Picnic tables at Frank Cross Park (located at buoy in the form of red bottle!) - limited shade
- Toilets, picnic tables, boat ramp, shade at Murray Bend boat ramp. Phone.
- Ravenswood Rivrside Resort Hotel & Ravenswood Caravan Park - small sandy beach, river right bank. Canoe hire. Cafe/deli near main road.
- Take out - river left bank: sandy beach under bridge at Ravenswood, toilets, some shade, byo wood barbecues, car park, Peel District Canoe Club
