Royal Australian Air Force
Design and manufacture of aircraft lift stands, the R.A.A.F. called tenders in 1988 for the design and manufacture airframe support jacks to be used in the service of their C130 Hercules aircraft. Rolliston Engineering won that tender with a 5 ton tripod type jack with self contracting wheels. The tender required load gauges and hydraulic lift actuation coupled with mechanical locking and this was all achieved in a compact design allowing it to be fitted under the fuselage beams but still be extended to 1200mm lift. The first order was supplied in 1989 and to date we have supplied a total of 38 units in three orders, proving the success of the project.
Scharfenbergkupplung Pty Ltd
Manufacture of various train mechanical components. For over ten years, Rolliston Engineering has manufactured many specialized parts and components utilized in the electric passenger train couplers. These can be found in almost all the electric trains in Australia. They are produced for Scharfenbergkupplung Pty Ltd who are the Australian wing of Scharfenbergkupplung Germany, who design and produce these systems the world over. The controls, Q.A. and design standards of our client, the various rail authorities and the requirements of passenger rail are all satisfied by Rolliston Engineering.
Ansett Australia Qantas Perth International Airport
In 1989 Rolliston Engineering was contracted to install the baggage handling system for the new Ansett Domestic Terminal at Perth Airport. This system consisted of 22 conveyors of both straight and right-angle turns, 16 weighing conveyors plus 16 feed conveyors, 2 baggage reclaim loops and 1 baggage make up loop. This was PLC controlled and feeds were regulated by a separate computer. Rolliston Engineering has had maintenance contracts on this system since that time and have carried out similar work at both Kalgoorlie and Broome airports. In 2002 Rolliston Engineering carried out similar work for Qantas Domestic Perth.
Aquarium of Western Australia
Design, manufacture and installation of large (20t) water tower. Rolliston Engineering has performed various projects and maintenance for A.Q.W.A.. They've ranged from the installation and commissioning of the moving walkway to displays and support equipment to a 20,000 ltr saltwater tower. This tower weighing some 40 tons, loaded, had to be built on the reclaimed land of Hillary's Marina giving special problems in stability and foundation design.
McGuire Chemicals
Design and manufacture of pressure vessels, platforms, walkways and repairs. McGuire Corporation are manufacturers of chemicals and fluxes for the domestic and mining industries. Since 1987 Rolliston Engineering have provided their expertise supplying anhydrous ammonia pods, aqueous ammonia mixing plants, chlorine tank stands and decant lines and flux mixing machines, lifting jigs and drum turners to name but a few.
Pascoe Chemicals
Rolliston Engineering recently designed a six station, 25 ton chemical filling header tank support and access system to fit around and to service their existing filling lines and packing facilities.
Western Australian Department of Agriculture
Manufacture and CAD drafting of Experimental plot seeders. AGWEST provided an experimental plot seeding machine to which, over the years, several modifications and additions had been made. The machine was originally produced without drawings to fore fill an urgent requirement within their experimental plot seeding program. Rolliston Engineering was tasked with providing a full set of production drawings, tidying up the engineering of the machine and its add-ons. We then produced two new machines complete on time and ready and for operations.
Leeuwin Star
Manufacture of Abalone cleaning stations. Leeuwin star process and pack seafood in W.A. The large portion of which is abalone. Rolliston Engineering has designed and manufactured abalone dressing and cleaning equipment and maintained various pieces of equipment from canning machines to steam generators.
Carabooda Lawn Farm
Carabooda Lawn Farms engaged us some 14 years ago to recondition their tractor mounted lawn harvester. Since that time we have produced various pieces of specialized equipment such as a broad acre vacuum unit, lawn shredder and harvester, high volume lawn runner and washer and lawn cutting blades.
