born as Rajkumar Gajendrapal Singh, second son of HH Raja Dilip Singhji
of Jhabua, he succeed by adoption, educated at
Daly College, Indore; he was adopted 15th July 1946, by the two
surviving widows (Thakurani Rasik Kuwar and Thakurani Subdhara
Kumari) of the late Thakur Narayan
Singhji of Jhaknaoda; married Rajkumari Somlata Kumari, born 2nd April
1943, daughter of Rana Ran Bahadur Singh Jandaive of Balsan, and his second wife, Rani Vidya
Kumari, and has issue, one daughter.

1991 (div. 1992), Yuvaraj Shri Manvendrasinhji Raghubirsinhji Sahib of Rajpipla.

PREDECESSORS AND SHORT HISTORY: The
Thakurs
of Jhaknaoda are the descendants of the Bharmal family of
Marwar. Raja Mah Singh of Jhabua (ruled 1610/1677), granted the jagir
to Thakur Kubar Singh in 1651 (#1). Estate

1st Thakur of Jhaknaoda 1651/-; he was
granted the jagir by Raja Mah Singh of Jhabua in 1651; married and had
issue.
- Thakur SURAJ MAL,
Thakur of Jhaknaoda, married and had
issue.
- Rani Jeeva Kanwar, married (as his fourth wife), Rao
Sangram Singh of Parsoli. She died sp.
- Thakur JASWANT SINGH,
Thakur
of Jhaknaoda, married and had
issue.
- Rani Daulat Kanwar, born
7th March 1848, married 1862, Rao Ratan Singh of Parsoli, and had issue, four sons. She
died 27th August 1881.

- Thakur Kishor Singhji Rathore (qv)
- Kunwar Kuber Singhji Rathore, he was adopted into Bori
before 1884, and succeeded there as Thakur Kuber Singhji of Bori (#2).
- Kunwar Deep Singhji Rathore, he was adopted into Bori
before 1884. He died young.
- Rao Bahadur Thakur JAWAN
SINGHJI, Thakur of Jhaknaoda, he served as Superintendent
of Ali-Rajpur from 1881 to 1890, during the minority of Rana
Bijai Singh of Ali Rajpur; he was conferred with the title of Rao
Bahadur on 20th May 1890 (#3). He died sp.

Thakur
of Jhaknaoda, married 1stly, a lady of Patadi, she had issue,
one son, married 2ndly, a lady of Marwar, she had issue, four sons and
three daughters, and had issue, five sons and three daughters.

in Udaipur, and had issue.

1910, educated at Daly College, Indore; married 1stly, Thakurani
Gopal Kuwar of Amargarh, married 2ndly, Thakurani Gauri Kumari, she
died about 1936, daughter of Kuwar
Vijay Singhji Dodiya of Piploda,
married 3rdly, Thakurani Rasik Kuwar
from Madhopur, married 4thly, Thakurani Subdhara
Kumari, another daughter of Kuwar
Vijay Singhji Dodiya of Piploda, and had issue, one daughter as well as
adoptive issue. He died spm
11th November 1945.

Gauri Kumari), born 1935, married Kumar Shri Vijay Singh Rawal of
Malpur
in Maharashtra, and
has issue, two sons and three daughters.
