PREDECESSORS AND SHORT HISTORY: Founded in the early 13th century after the death of Shri Mangal Chand, Rana of Bhatwara in 1240. He was killed by Raja Madan Sen of Suket, whilst he was worshipping in Batwara Palace, forcing two Ranis, the Wazir, other officials, along with the Tikka Sahib, Raghunath Chand, to flee Batwara.
