PREDECESSORS AND SHORT HISTORY: The family is descended from Raja Phul Singh Dodia of Girnar, the thikana was originally named Lawa, but the name was changed in 1738. The origin of the estate is that once, on a pilgrimage to Gujarat, the mother of Maharana Lakha of Mewar and her party were attacked by dacoits, and Rao Siha Dodiya came to the aid of the party, he was killed in the skirmish, but two of his sons, Kalu and Dhawal, took the royal travellers to safety in the Dodiya residence, then later escorted them back to the Mewar border. Maharana Lakha later invited the two sons to Mewar, and granted them the jagir of Lawa. Estate holders were.....

  7. Thakur SANDA SINGH, 7th Thakur of Lawa 1534/1567, he was killed in battle at Chittor in 1567.

  8. Thakur BHIM SINGH, 8th Thakur of Lawa 1567/1576, he was killed in battle at Haldighati on 18th June 1576.

  9. Thakur GOPAL DAS, 9th Thakur of Lawa, he was killed in a battle near the temple of Ranapur in the Aravallis

  17. Thakur MANOHAR SINGH, 17th Thakur of Sardargarh 1859/-, born 1830, he was granted some additional villages by Maharana Shambhu Singh and was made a Noble of the First Class; Member of the Mahand Raj Sabha, married and had issue, two sons (both died young), as well as an adopted son.

  18. Thakur SOHAN SINGH, 18th Thakur of Sardargarh 1903/- , born 1872, he succeeded by adoption in 1903; married Thakurani Saubhagya Kanwar, daughter of Rawat Ratan Singh of Bohera.

  19. Thakur LAKSHMAN SINGH, 19th Thakur of Sardargarh -/1930, married and had issue. He died 1930.

  21. Thakur MAN SINGH, 21st Thakur of Sardargarh, married Rani Chandra Kumari of Danta in Gujarat, and had issue.
    • Kunwar Mahipal Singh Dhodia, born 2nd February 1961, educated at Mayo College, Ajmer (1979); married 4th December 1986, Kumari Dharitri Raol of Lakhanka in Bhavnagar, and has issue, one son and two daughters.
      • Kumari Brinda Singh, born 1st April 1990.
      • Kumari Radhika Singh, born 22nd April 1993.
      • Kunwar Akhairaj Dhodia, born 7th January 1997.
    • Kunwar Pratap Singh Dhodia, married Kunwarani Uma Kumari, youngest daughter of Thakore Gumansinhji Vaghela of Deodar (Gujarat), and has issue, one son.
