Supradipta Manyabara Cmdr-in-Chief Gen. HH Shri Shri Shri Maharaja Sir Bhim Shumsher Jung Bahadur Rana, born 16th April 1865, 6th Prime Minister of Nepal 1929/1932, Commander-in-Chief of the Nepalese Army 1901/1929, Western Senior Commanding General in 1901, Eastern Commanding General 1887/1901, Southern Commanding General in 1887, Northern Commanding General 1885/1887, Hon. Col. British Army, K.C.V.O. [cr.1912], K.C.S.I. (Hon) [cr.1917], married (amongst others), HH Shri Tin Kancha Bada Maharani Deel Kumari Devi, and had issue. He died 1st September 1932.

Shri Maharajkumar Hiranya Shumsher Rana, married and had issue.

Maj.-Gen. Shri Subarna Shumsher Rana, founder and President of the Nepali Congress Party and former Finance Minister, Deputy Prime Minister 1959/1960 and Prime Minister of Nepal; he was associated with the Mukti Sena which fought against the then Rana regime in Nepal and he had to spend years in exile in India; married and had issue. He died 1977 in Calcutta.

Shri Kanchan Shumsher Rana
His Excellency Shri Rukma Shumsher Rana, born 12th March 1936 in Calcutta, educated at the Doon School, Dehradun, at Milfield School, and at St. Xavier's College in Darjeeling, graduating with an M.A. degree in History from Calcutta University; Member Secretary of Nepal Sports Council; President of Nepal Olympic Committee and executive member of the Asian Olympic Committee; he was appointed Nepal's Ambassador to India on 20th August 2009, and served till August 2011; married 1969, Rani Ishwari Rajya Laxmi Shahi, born 1947, daughter of Shri Jung Shah, educated at Benares University (M.A.), and has issue.

Rati Rajya Lakshmi Devi, married Shri Anil Keshary Shah of Bhirkot, and has issue, one daughter.

Rani Roma Rajyashree Singh, married Apji Thakur Shivraj Singh of Thikana Palaitha, IAS Retd., educated at the Doon School, Dehra Dun and St Stephen’s College, New Delhi; he served in the Indian Administrative service for 37 years with distinction 1965/2002; granted Superannuation in a Rank of Chief Secretary, West Bengal Cadre; he also served extensively in the Central Government at New Delhi in various ministries in several designations; he is currently retired and is based between Kotah, Palaitha and Gurgaon; and has issue.

Shri Mahabir Shumsher Rana, married Rani Padma Kumari Devi, and had issue. He died after 1950.

Maharajkumari Dibya Laxmi Devi [Chhoree Maharani Dibya Laxmi Devi of Dhampur] (by Maharani Deel Kumari Devi), married Maharaj Rajendra Singhji Sahib of Dhampur, and had issue, three sons and one daughter (see Sailana).
